U16

The U16 White Team is a development team, which formed in June 2021. 

From our first training session of just 5 players, we now have 19 players signed on and regularly have 20+ players joining us for our training sessions.

The start to our league career has been a baptism of fire, but though determination, hard work and above all enjoyment, the team is starting turn things around and we are sure that we are not far off winning our first points.   5

Manager - Mike Grant. Mike started his coaching career at Sovereign Saints, firstly in a coaching role and eventually running his own team. Mike moved to Polegate Grasshoppers where he ran an U14s team taking them through to U16s. During his time at Polegate Mike completed his FA level 1 coaching badge.  Mike is a Middlesbrough fan, which has helped him to grow a thick skin, ideal for management!

Coaches - Neil Richardson & Matt Walter 

Neil previously managed a youth team at Sovereign Saints. Neil has played football throughout his life from youth teams through to adult football with Shinewater AFC, Hailsham Town and Willingdon AFC. Neil loves coaching and gets enjoyment from developing players and seeing their confidence and ability grow. Neil is Brighton fan and season ticket holder and if you get a chance, and if you have an hour or so, ask him about the goal he scored at the Amex.
